Who is Claygate Choral Society?

We are a friendly choir of around 50 members. We put on performances two or three times a year, which have included Rossinis's Petite Messe Solennelle, Fauré Requiem, Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs and Handel's Messiah.

Our performances are enhanced by professional soloists and orchestra, under the baton of our new conductor Tim Sandford. An appreciative member of the audience once enthused, "Well done Claygate Choral Society - a wonderful evening, well worthy of a London West End Stage".

If you love to sing and are interested in joining, do come and try a Friday evening rehearsal!

There is no audition, all we ask is that you love choral music, enjoy singing and that you attend rehearsals on Friday evenings at the Holy Trinity Church, Claygate from 7.45pm - 9.45pm. An ability to read music is helpful, but not essential.

Our concerts usually take place at Holy Trinity Church on a Saturday evening with a dress rehearsal in the afternoon,

We also have a fun social calendar of events, ranging from Quiz evenings to Summer Jazz..

We rehearse on a Friday evening at 7.45pm, at Holy Trinity Church Hall, Church Road, Claygate, KT10 0JP

If this has inspired you to join us, please contact Monica Bennett, the Society’s Secretary
