As a community choir, we are very grateful for sponsorship, as this enables us to perform with high quality orchestras and soloists for the enjoyment of all music lovers. We would like to thank the RC Sherriff Trust, a local charity supporting the arts, which, from time to time, has donated generously over the years. Thanks also go to the Society’s Friends, our President Keith Havelock and other individuals who wish to remain anonymous. They have shown appreciation for our work by making donations, or by offering their professional and practical skills, free of charge, to help in the general running of the Society. We are fortunate to have such generous support for music-making in our community and the Society values this immensely.
We invite all music loving individuals and organisations in Claygate and beyond, to consider becoming involved in giving to our Choral Society and thereby enriching the cultural life of our village. Choir members also play their part in financing our concert activities by paying their subscriptions and staging social events for fundraising, which helps in meeting costs. Ticket sales also make a significant contribution, for which we are grateful to our loyal audiences. Long may the choral tradition thrive in Claygate and that will be due in a large part to all sponsors.
